EXHIBIT | Summer by Natalie Légère

30 July 2021 - 27 August 2021

July 30 – August 27, 2021

“Summer is my favourite season, the heat, the long evenings, and the little trips! Last summer, during the Pandemic, I started “Bodies of Water”, a series of Live Plein Air paintings. These are paintings of the Wolastoq (a.k.a. the Saint-John River), the Meduxnekaeg, and Bulls Creek. I paint them on location, over multiple sessions, with the changing elements in the environment, developing in each one a central visual idea, and a goal of Contemporary Impressionist-Realism.“

Natalie Légère, born in Moncton, NB, Canada, and graduates from the Université de Moncton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Arts. Légère is selected, in 2018, for Catapult, and, in 2019, she opens the Natalie Légère Art Gallery, Woodstock, NB, participates in Génie Arts, Naked State, and hosts workshops. In 2020, she presents “Pastels” at Assomption Gallery, Moncton, NB, Plein Air Live events online, and her first exhibit at Galerie 12, Moncton, NB, “Howl”. Légère offers “Chouettes” at Grassroots Gallery, Fredericton, NB, in early 2021, and attends Plein Air Festivals. She is currently preparing exhibits for Galerie 12, Moncton, NB (in November), and Marie Hélène Allain Gallery, Bouctouche, NB (in 2023). Légère lives and works in Woodstock First Nation, NB.
