Images Rémanentes Official Inauguration: Public Art Itinerary in Moncton!

On December 19, come and discover the 13 works of permanent public art newly installed in the City of Moncton!

The official inauguration of this project will be celebrated during a festive evening with the artists present. The evening will take place at the Bernard LeBlanc Hall in the Aberdeen Cultural Centre, starting at 7 PM.

Guided tours of the itinerary will be offered on December 19 and 20. See below for all the details.

Images rémanentes is a public art itinerary integrating 13 works of contemporary art in the City of Moncton. The works created for the exhibition recount the history of art in Acadie, in southeastern New Brunswick, highlighting the exceptional contribution of cultural events, entities, and cultural figures to the vitality of the contemporary Acadian art community from the 1960s to the present day.

INAUGURATION PROGRAM

Wednesday, December 19

4 PM – 6 PM: Guided bus tour with the curators and artists, each presenting their artwork to the public. The bus will depart from the Botsford Street entrance of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre at 4 PM.

7 PM – Late, Bernard LeBlanc Hall, Aberdeen Cultural Centre: Inauguration night with the curators and artists present. Bubbles and bites will be offered with a cash bar. The official speeches and short artist talks will be followed by a DJ dance party!

Thursday, December 20

11 AM – 1 PM: Second chance to join the guided bus tour with the curators and artists, each presenting their art work to the public. The bus will depart from the Botsford Street entrance of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre at 11 PM.
